Hi there! Thank you guys for this huge database of KAWAI K4's SYSEX files! I am proud owner of this amazing K4 keyboard since 1993. Does Anybody knows some Windows software which can transmit SYSEX Messages from PC to the keyboard via MIDI? I have freevare K4 WIN and some older software versions such as 311 etc. the problem is: My K4's motherboard Lithium battery is gone and I lost all of my work from past sanctuary...There was some unique sigles wich I backed up just in time... unfortunally my backup was wrong, and all I have is list og soudns from all banks, but there is one mistake... SYSEX is just ASCII text, no other messages. I can upload it here, but only, if I im shure it will work fine. Can anybody help me about this problem? P.S. My friend have full working ATARI computer which is by default equipped with midi ports. At the end,I will go to his studio to put some of this souns in my keyboard. Best regards.

Thank you for this collection, I might add fürther patches. Plaes state file size for every entry. Furthermore, how about some syxinfo tool listing all patch names (cli)?

Is there a way to send a sysex dump to my DC-16 RAM card inserted in my K4r (coin battery replaced; formatted and empty..) - or will any sysex transfer by definition be dumped to the Internal memory and so erase my factory banks and presets that I just have restored (my first sysex transfer ever)?

To midi sysex transfer directly to the [DC-16] RAM card, the sysex message could be changed as follows: Midi exclusive msg => Internal (00): F0 40 00 30 04 00 00 F7 Midi exclusive msg => External (02): F0 40 00 30 04 02 00 F7

I just registered on sysexdb. I have a kawai K4 that i'm trying to keep alive and was thrilled to come across this site. However everytime i tried to download a sysex file I get the message below. I'm using firefox. Help anyone, thanks. Downloading C:\Users\joe\Downloads\AcOej2iRsyx.part C:\Users\joe\Downloads\AcOej2iRsyx.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

Note: the correct names for the "British Mix" cards from Valhala Music Inc. should be BK4-01 (#1) and BK4-02 (#2); not B301 and B302.

The Kawai E-401 ROM card is not one of the Factory banks. It is one of the commercial banks (as listed in the description) and was published by Kawai (Kawai Europe to be more precise).
